This approach addresses a wide range of health issues associated with Relative Nutritional Deficiencies (RND).  It uses amino acid precursors (5HTP, Tyrosine, L-cysteine, vitamin-mineral cofactors, and specific botanical medicines) to help the body make its own Neurotransmitters (NT) – serotonin, dopamine, epinephrine (adrenaline), norepinephrine, and glutathione.  This is essential to obtain optimal balance of the NTs and optimal neurological function to address the conditions in the table below.   It is based on the current and updated science in neurophysiology.  Dr. Hinz, MD has developed practical protocols to address these RNDs.  I have been working with and learning these protocols since 2005 through regular webinars, telemedicine consultations, and round-table seminars with Dr. Hinz and other doctors.  This strategy is individualized and requires weekly visits and monitoring initially to achieve optimal NT balance.  For Mental-Emotional conditions, it is safe to use in conjunction with most medications.

Conditions Associated with Serotonin and Dopamine relative Deficiencies:

There are generally 2 directions treatment using this therapy can take – either Serotonin or Dopamine Dominant.  The Diseases highlighted in yellow are generally associated with Relative Serotonin depletion and the Serotonin-Dominant Protocol is used.  The diseases highlighted in green are associated with Relative Dopamine Depletions and respond to the Dopamine-Dominant Protocol.  The diseases highlighted in yellow may respond to the Dopamine-Dominant Protocol but could also respond to the Serotonin-Dominant Protocol.  A Dopamine-Challenge is implemented to differentiate this.
