Open again for In-Office Appointments

OFFICE UPDATE May 28th, 2020:  On May 26th, Naturopathic Doctors received an email from our regulatory college stating that the Ministry of Health will allow health care professionals to allow restart of all deferred and non-essential services.

It is my top priority to help keep patients and the community safe during this time and that we follow the guidelines set out by the Ministry of Health, Public Health Ontario and the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. Please read the following protocols for re-opening Naturopathic practice following these guidelines.

  • If you schedule by phone you will be asked several questions related to the COVID-19 symptom self-assessment tool (*see below).
  • Please click this link for the most up to date COVID-19 symptoms as per the Ministry of Health.
  • For online booking you may be contacted in advance and asked the same questions.
  • Patients will be required to fill out a COVID-19 screening survey before EVERY visit. This survey will be emailed to you a few hours before your appointment. You need to print and fill it out and bring to your appointment.  If you do not have time to do it or cannot print it out, you will have to complete the survey at the clinic before your appointment.
  • Please do not enter the clinic until a few minutes before your appointment to avoid unnecessary contact with others.
  • Please do not come in with unnecessary company to avoid crowding.
  • Allow 6-ft / 2-metres of distance between yourself and others. However, I will be spacing patient visits to avoid more than 1 patient in the office and waiting area at a time.
  • Hand sanitizer is available in the waiting area prior to and after appointments.
  • You are not required to wear a mask or face covering at your appointment.  However, wearing your own mask is encouraged and if needed, can be purchased from my office for $2.
  • Cleaning of the office, equipment, and washroom, if used, is done after every visit.
  • During doctor patient interactions, the doctor will be wearing a mask during your treatment.
  • Please note, that I will continue to offer phone and PHIPA-compliant video consultations for those who feel, for any reason, that this is the best option.

*COVID Assessment Tool:  If you have had any symptoms related to flu or COVID-19, been in contact with anyone that is sick or you suspect to be sick, and/or been outside of Ontario in the last 14 days, please quarantine yourself for a minimum of 14 days. See Symptoms of COVID-19.

If you do have symptoms related to COVID-19 and they progress, please contact your family physician, local medical officer of health or Telehealth Ontario. You will also be advised to go to the local COVID-19 testing facility set up at the GBRHC in Owen Sound.  If you do show up to the clinic and symptoms as above are apparent, you will be respectfully asked to leave the clinic.

I would like to express my gratitude to all of my patients for your support during this challenging time and ask that you respect and follow the office procedures that are in place to maintain safety.  We are all in this together and together we can traverse through this in the safest way possible.  I care about you, and am here to help, so please do not hesitate to reach out for assistance for your health care needs.
